Class description

This group class is for English students over the age of 18 at a B1 Intermediate level, who want to have a friendly chat with a tutor and other students from around the world. You can speak about family life and friendship, for example explaining what you think makes someone a good family member and giving advice about what to do if you argue with a friend. I will send a short article for you to read before the class, which we can discuss together. If you want to check if the class is suitable for you or if you have any other questions, you're welcome to contact me before booking.

After this class, you’ll have learned

This class will help you to improve your speaking, listening and reading skills. The materials will introduce you to useful vocabulary connected with everyday life. You will practice pronouncing and recognizing the new words in conversation with other students. This will give you the opportunity to find out about different cultures in a relaxed atmosphere.

Helen Low

I can relate to the practical, everyday challenges of using a foreign language, since I studied Russian at University and spent a year living in Russia, where I first started teaching English. I'm also interested in history and literature, and enjoy the opportunity to explore language and culture with my students.
