English has thousands of distinct verbs, yet most of us only use a few dozen of them on a daily basis. In this class, we will explore a variety of action verbs and how those verbs can make sentences more specific, concise, and dynamic. Through some interactive activities, we'll also practice compound verb conjugations and phrasal verbs. Get ready to expand your vocabulary and boost your conjugation confidence! Meet your teacher

Ellie Hoffman

I first began teaching at age 13, when I started a violin studio in my home for local students. Since then, I have expanded my scope and experience in teaching, first by leading educational programs at a museum, and then by obtaining a certificate in TESOL. I have continued to work as a violin instructor through fine arts centers and have taken several professional training courses with the Suzuki Association of the Americas music program. In addition, I've worked as a writing coach, providing feedback and instruction on student papers. Finally, last year, I spent 7 months in France as a language assistant, teaching ESL classes on vocabulary, pronunciation, and American culture.
