This is a conversation class for intermediate levels (B1/B2), where we will discuss an article. We will know what topic that we’ll start with, but never what we will end up talking about. We’ll exchange ideas and opinions, learn new vocabulary and improve your speaking skills. Before class I will send you an article. Once in class, we will read the article together to work on pronunciation and intonation. Then we will go through the vocabulary to check your understanding. Some of these articles include questions and exercises, but it's up to you whether you do them or not. The only thing required for the lesson is to read the article and think about your opinion or a relevant experience you had. My goal as a teacher is to create a safe space- a place that feels natural and relaxed, where students engage in debate in a natural way and improve their confidence. As this is a group lesson, I won't correct all your mistakes but I will make corrections and give you tips on how to sound more natural. After the class I will send you a more extensive correction. There won't be any activities in breakout rooms , as the real challenge when we are speaking in another language are group conversations. ***Please note this class is for intermediate levels so if you are unsure about your level you can text me ****

When speaking I want you to feel engaged with the other students, to ask questions of each other, and to interrupt etc…. Like you would do when hanging out with friends and discussing something over a pint of beer or coffee. I´ll see you on the other side of the screen :)
