Class description

Multiculturalism is often discussed in abstract or idealised terms. In practice, it raises difficult questions about social cohesion, shared norms, and who is expected to adapt to whom. This lesson explores the benefits and limits of multicultural societies, including how cultural difference interacts with law, social expectations, and national identity. The discussion will focus on trade-offs rather than slogans, and on how these issues play out in real societies. My full italki profile: https://www.italki.com/en/teacher/8425021
