في شمال إيطاليا، في بيرونا نحتفل بقدّيسة اسمها لوسيا. إنها أهم من قدّيس نيكولاس.

في يومي اثنا عشر وثلاثة عشر في ديسمبر، القدّيسة لوسيا تأتي على حمارها مع زميلها كاستالدو.

الأطفال يتركون قهوة للقدّيسة وطحينًا للحمار وخبزًا لكاستالدو. ينام الأطفال عندما تأتي القدّيسة، ويجب عليهم ألا يروها أو سترمي رمادًا في عيونهم ولن يستطيعوا الرؤية خلال مدة.

يقال إن شابًّا وقع في حبّ المُقدّسة عندما رأى عيناها. طلب الشابّ منها عينيها وأعطاها عينيه. ولكن أصبحت للقدّيسة عينان أخرتين وكانت معجزة. الشاب طلب منها مرة أخرى عينيها فرفضت وقالت إنها قد أعطته عينيها من قبل وهذه معجزة.

الشاب قتلها بطعن في القلب.

رُبما تعود هذه التقاليد إلى القرن الرابع عشر، عندما كان هناك وباء عيني وحشي للأطفال في مدينة فيرونا. بعد الوباء، قرر الآباء الذهاب إلى الكنيسة المخصّصة للقدّيسة بدون أحذية. الأطفال كانوا يخافون من البرد ولكن وعد الآباء بأن القدّيسة ستحضر لهم الحلوى والهدايا عند عودتهم إلى المنزل.

📖 Chapter 14: The Marketplace

Before I begin reading, here’s a quick summary of the chapter:

Mrs. Frisby is shocked to learn that her late husband, Jonathan, was part of the rats’ secret past. Nicodemus explains that Jonathan had a good reason for keeping the truth from her, but he never had the chance to share it before he passed. As they talk, Nicodemus suggests moving to a quieter location so he can tell her the full story of the rats’ origins.
He leads Mrs. Frisby to his office, a comfortable and well-furnished space, where she notices a radio playing music. This sparks a memory of something Jonathan once mentioned, and she is fascinated by the sound. Nicodemus then begins to recount the history of the rats, starting at a marketplace near a big city where he and many other rats once lived.
The marketplace provided plenty of food, making life easy for the rats. Nicodemus and his friends, including his intelligent companion Jenner, often explored the area, gathering food and playing. One evening, while searching for food, Nicodemus and the other rats were suddenly caught in a trap. Bright lights flashed, and men in white uniforms appeared, capturing many of them with nets. Nicodemus himself was ensnared, signaling the beginning of a life-changing event for the captured rats.

Jag pratar om hur man pratar om hur man mår på svenska och engelska, de språk jag kan. Jag undrar om det finns några språk där människor faktiskt säger hur de mår och inte bara svarar "Jag mår bra" Varför är det inte lika acceptabelt att svara "Jag mår dåligt eller jag mår inte så bra"?  Varför finns det inte fler känslospektrum när man talar om hur man mår borde bli större, våga säga, jag mår inte så bra för jag är nervös, jag är stressad så jag mår sådär, jag mår dåligt för jag har ont i ryggen OSV. 

Detta podcast-avsnitt är en uppmaning till er att VÅGA säga hur ni faktiskt mår när ni får frågan. Jag ska försöka göra detsamma, jag vet hur svårt det är. Det är så himla mycket enklare att säga "Jag mår bra..." än att faktiskt vara ärlig.

こんにちは！Atsushiです。
今カタールでは、ワールドカップが開催中ですね！
日本は次がスペイン戦です。
相手はとても強いチームですが、がんばってほしいですね。

この時期、オンラインレッスンでいろんな国の人と話しているので、それぞれの国のいろんな話が聞くことができます。

カタールの人もいますし、ドイツや韓国、アメリカ、オーストラリアなどなど、本当にいろんな国の人がいます。

カタールのワールドカップに関する、いろんなニュースがありますが、一つの側面からしかとらえていないようなこともありますね。

ニュースだけに影響されるのではなく、自分の目で見て、耳で聞いて、世界を知りたいなと思います。


さてさて、話は全然変わりますが、昨日の夜、奥さんと餃子を作りました。僕の家では、時々餃子を作ります。
餃子の皮はさすがに買いますが、中に入れる具は自分たちで作ります。

僕の家の餃子は簡単な餃子です。
ミンチ
キャベツ
玉ねぎ
しいたけ
を入れて、
調味料は
醤油
ごま油
しょうが
にんにく
塩、こしょう

これらを混ぜます。
それから、この具を皮に包みます。

そして、僕の家ではホットプレートを使って焼きます。

コロナ禍の後、ほとんど自宅でご飯を食べるようになりました。みなさんもそうだと思います。

家で作ることや食べることが楽しくなり、今は家で食べる方が好きです。日本では家で作った方が安くすみます。

家で2人でご飯を作る時は、
お好み焼き
もつ鍋
たこ焼き
ピザ
他にもあるものだけでいろいろ作ったりします。

日本食で人気の寿司とか、ラーメンは家では作りません。
外で食べます。
焼肉は家でも外でも食べます。


ということで、今回は家で餃子を作りました！という話でした。
