I talk about a different thing instead - the attitude you carry with you about who you are and what you can deliver and from this perspective you speaj/answer recruiter's questions.

今日も北海道からとっています。


さて、今日は祇園祭(ぎおんまつり)について。
聞いたことがりますか？

日本では、昔からいろんな祭り(festival)があります。
地元(じもと)の祭りや大きな祭りがあります。

今日は日本三大祭りの１つ、祇園祭について話します。
祇園祭とは、夏に京都で行われる祭りのことです。
7月の1ヶ月でいくつかの行事があります。


祇園祭の起源(きげん＝roots)は平安時代初期(へいあんじだいしょき)にさかのぼります。その時代は、疫病(えきびょう＝ひろがる病気)が流行(りゅうこう)していました。

人々は、これを死んだ人たちの祟り(たたり)だと考えました。ですので、祟りをしずめるために、まちをあるく「御霊会〔ごりょうえ〕」をはじめました。

これが祇園祭のはじまりです。

祇園祭のシンボルは山車〔だし〕という大きなものです。
屋根に長い槍(やり)を持ち、2階にはお囃子(おはやし)をするひとたちが乗っています。またひとがかつぐようなものもあります。

先日、はじめて、じっくりと祇園祭を見ました。
1ヶ月の間の最後の行事でしたが、人がたくさん見にきていて、とても熱気がありました。そして、伝統的(でんとうてき)な雰囲気(ふんいき)がありました。
