Phrasal Verbs for Dating and Relationships (Series III episode 2)
Description
Hey everyone! Today it's time to talk about love and dating. Phrasal verbs are particularly useful here, because it's so important to sound casual and natural when we're talking about something as personal as relationships. Here are the phrasal verbs and examples from today:
to hit on someone
to ask someone out
to set someone up with someone
to lead someone on
to break up/split up (with someone)
to stay together
to settle down (with someone)
Examples sentences:
Grandma, please stop setting me up with your friend’s granddaughters. I can find a relationship by myself!
I don’t think Maggie ever would have found a partner if we hadn’t set her up with Max.
