I hope someone informed you of this!
Description
You may already know that that word "inform" means to tell someone something. To give information to someone. For instance, "thanks for informing me about the change of venue". What you might not know is that it can also be used to mean "influence something" as in "my work is informed by years of experience" Or maybe "the decisions that we make are always informed by our company culture. So what do you think, have you ever heard this usage?
