みなさんは「できる」の意味を知っていますか？「できる」には英語のcanという意味があります。しかし、「ジブリパークができる」の「できる」は新しく建てられる、またはオープンするという意味です。ちなみにジブリパークは今年の11月1日にできるそうなので、興味がある人はインターネットで調べてみてください。

この「できる」を使って「近くに新しいコンビニができるらしいよ」とか、「高速道路ができてとても便利になった」と言うこともできます。

では、「友達ができた」というのはどういう意味でしょうか。これは新しく友達になった人がいるという意味です。「彼氏ができた」「彼女ができた」と言うフレーズはよく使います。
また、「ニキビができる」「ほくろができる」というのはあまりうれしくないことですね。これはニキビやほくろが新しく出てきたという意味です。

「できる」という表現は会話の中でとてもよく使います。ここで説明した以外の意味もありますが、それは次回説明したいと思います。

These various expressions for negation span a spectrum of formality and tone. In informal settings, a definitive refusal might take the form of "not a chance" or "ain't gonna happen," perhaps even with a touch of camaraderie, as in "nah, mate." For matters requiring decorum, a formal approach may involve phrases like "I'm afraid the answer is no" or "I must decline," while adding regret, as in "regrettably, no," imparts a sense of genuine consideration. Politeness tempers the refusal in phrases such as "I'm sorry, but no" and "thank you for considering me, but I'll have to say no," expressing gratitude for the offer. lǎo bǎn ， píng guǒ zěn me mài ？
Boss (of the shop), how do you sell the apples/how much are the apples?
老板(lǎo bǎn, shop owner): 左边的一斤8块钱，右边的一斤9块半。
zuǒ bian de yì jīn 8 kuài qián ， yòu bian de yì jīn 9 kuài bàn 。
The one on the left is 8 yuan per Jin(=0.5kg), and the one on the right is 9.5 yuan per Jin.
顾客: 哪个更甜？
nǎ ge gèng tián ？
Which one is sweeter?
老板: 右边的更甜。
yòu bian de gèng tián 。
The one on the right is sweeter.
顾客: 那来八个吧，大点儿的。

みなさんが住んでいるところは晴れですか？雨ですか？

さて、今日は、オノマトペ、について。

みなさん、オノマトペ、という言葉を聞いたことがありますか？

もしかしたらはじめて聞くかもしれないですね。　

では、日本語で、

ざーざーとか、ポタポタとか、聞いたことがありますか？
それがオノマトペです。

オノマトペとは、
物からでる音や、気持ちなどの音がないものを文字で表したもののことをいいます。

たとえば、

ブーブー
ドキドキ
ガチャン
チリーン
ドカン

ばらばら
めろめろ
じろじろ
ふらふら

こういう言葉、聞いたことありますか？

たとえば、見る、を表現する時、英語では、
see,watch,lookなどがあり、いろいろな表現ができます。
ですが、日本語では、見る、という言葉しかないので、その前に、キョロキョロ見るとか、ジッと見るなど、オノマトペを使って表現します。


ちなみに、「onomatopēe（オノマトペ）」はフランス語だそうです。

オノマトペを上手に使うと、日本語がぐんぐんと話しやすくなるかもしれませんね。

こんにちは！
Japanese daily life podcast のAtsushiです。
このPodcastは、日本語を楽しく勉強しているみなさんに向けたPodcastです。


今日は月見、について話します。
月見は日本の風習の1つです。

実際、今の時代では、ゆっくり時間をとって、月を見ながら団子を食べる、というようなことはしないと思います。

もともとは中国から伝わっています。
この風習が800年代に日本に伝わりました。

当時は貴族が行うようなイベントで、ふつうの、一般の人にはなじみはありませんでした。

江戸時代、月見が一般的になった時には、芋煮を食べることが多かったそうです。

そのあと、だんごを供えるように変化して、今にいたります。

はじめにも言いましたが、この時期の満月の時に、みんなで集まって月を見ながらだんごを食べる、ということは今はしません。

でもこの時期はスーパーなどでは、月見団子が売っていたりします。

おもしろいのは、マクドナルドが月見バーガーというハンバーガーを毎年販売しています。目玉焼きを挟んだハンバーガーですが、人気があります。
