Mèng Wǎnzhōu ,informally known in China as the "Princess of Huawei",is a Chinese business executive who is the deputy chair of the board and CFO of telecom giant and China's largest privately held company, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., founded by her father Ren Zhengfei.

因为我儿子今年初三。所以我之前跟他交流过。他大学应该读什么专业？什么专业更适合于他的这个性格特征？和适合他长项。我当时记得我跟我儿子说了一句话。我说你不管你将来选择什么样的职业，一定不要和选择和机器竞争的职业。等你毕业的时候，人工智能一定会方兴未艾。你那个时候去和机器竞争。你根本不是他的对手。工业革命解决了。人的一些工作由机器来承担，他解决了人的这个体力问题。而信息革命，他将解决人类的智力问题。所以我们会看到在未来10年，20年，很多的工作将会被机器承担。而我们在选择择业的时候，我们就要考虑还有什么样的工作是机器承担不了的。这是我们要去看到的第一个趋势。

And when we choose a career, we have to consider what kind of jobs can’t be undertaken by robots. This is the first factor we need to consider.

「せっかく」は良く使うことばです。聞いたことがありますか。
勉強しましょう！

N２文法「（きもちのことば）＋ことに」や「もったいない」も一緒に使ってみます。


〈意味〉
頑張(がんば)って／時間(じかん)・お金(かね)をかけて（使(つか)って）／苦労(くろう)して／無理(むり)して／わざわざ

【せっかく】〈副詞〉
こんな風(ふう)に使(つか)います･･･
「せっかく～から」、「せっかく～けど」、「せっかく～のに」など

★会話の中の「せっかく」★
①もう15時か。せっかくここまで来たのに、残念だけど、そろそろ引き返そう。
②でも、目的地まであと少しっぽいですよ。せっかく2時間もがんばって歩いたんだから、あと少し歩いてみたいんですが。



★練習「せっかく」★
〈1〉
①【時間をかけて】みんなのためにマフィン（muffin）を作ったのに･･･、だれも食べてくれなくてかなしかった。
②お母さんの誕生日に【苦労(くろう)して】実家(じっか)に帰ったのに、お母さんは旅行)に行っていて会えなかった。がっかりした。


〈2〉
①【わざわざ】日本に来たんだから、ほしいものは全部買って帰ろうと思う。
②【お金を使って】買った本だから、内容(ないよう)はめちゃくちゃつまらなかったけど、最後まで読んだ。



★お友だちのことば「もったいない」★
文型「せっかく～のに／から、～のはもったいない」
１）せっかく今までがんばったのに、ここでやめるのはもったいないよ。
２）せっかく今までがんばったんだから、ここであきらめるのはもったいないよ。

今日の天気は晴れ。
気温は23℃です。

天気が良いので少しだけ暑く感じます。

今日はコロケーションについて。
コロケーションという言葉を聞いたことがありますか？
日本語訳で調べると連語れんご、と出てきますが、
要は言葉の自然な組み合わせのことを言います。

英語だと、
fast food をquick foodとは言いませんね。
wash laundryではなく、do laundry 
strong rainではなく、heavy rain 
など言うようです。

日本語はというと、
例えば、
ご飯を食べる
飯を食う

と言いますが、これを
ご飯を食う
とか
飯を食べる
とはほとんど言いません。

知らない間に覚えたものだと、
かぜをひく
傘をさす

なども同じコロケーションですね。
かぜになる
かさをする
間違ってはいませんが、もしかすると、日本人は少し違和感があるかもしれません。

他にも、
約束をやぶる
影響を与える、及ばす
攻撃を受ける

などがあります。

私のpodcastの26で服を着る表現について話しましたが、
これもコロケーションの１つです。
興味がわく、あ、これもコロケーションですね。
興味が出る、とか興味が上がる、とは言いません。
