はい、こんにちは。洋平先生です。 え、今日は”とても”と”ずいぶん” の違いについてお話したいと思います。 えー、どちらも副詞（ふくし）、adverb ですよね。で、同じような意味を持っています。
英語のvery ですよね、でもこの2つ、少しだけ違うんですねえ、それは この”ずいぶん”は少し驚いた時に使うんですね。思っていたことと違った時。
 
例えば、私前タイのマクドナルドでコーヒーを買ったんですね、
マクドナルドはわかりますか。えー、英語でMcDonald ですね、日本語の発音でマクドナルドと言います。はい。ま、えー話を戻しますけども、タイのマクドナルドでコーヒーを買った時、100バーツだったんですよ。
私あんまりマクドナルドに行かないんで、知らなかったんですけども。100バーツ、円にすると、450円ぐらいですか。高いですよね。で、えー私その時えー、先輩といたんですが、「ずいぶん高いですね」と言ったんですね、ここで「とても高いですね」と言ってもいいんですけど、「ずいぶん高いですね」の方が自然、日本人らしい表現になります。思っていた値段（ねだん）と違います、というニュアンスがありますね。 
どうですか、皆さんわかりますか。
 
じゃ、例えばあなたは不動産屋（ふどうさんや）に行きます。で、部屋を探していますが、不動産屋が1つ部屋を紹介してくれました。 で、言います。「この部屋は夏は涼しいですよ」うん、夏は涼しいですよ。　この時、”とても”が”ずいぶん” どちらを言いますか。
これは、えー、あなたはこの部屋のことを全くわからないんで、ここで「ずいぶん涼しいですよ」と言われても、ちょっと変なんですよね。「え？私、この部屋のこと何も知らないよ」って感じですよね。ですから、ここでは不動産屋さんは「とても涼しいですよ」といった方が自然なんですね、
 
じゃ、えー、その不動産屋とお部屋を実際（じっさい）に見に行くことになりました。 
でえ、不動産屋が言います。「ここです。いかがですか」と言いますね。で、えー、この部屋新しいと思っていたらちょっと古いんですよ。じゃ、ここで皆さんなんと言いますか。「とても古いですね」？それとも「ずいぶん古いですね」？
はい、これどちらでもいいんですけども、 「ずいぶん古いですね」の方が自然です。思っていたよりも、古い、新しいと思っていました。でも、古いです。「ずいぶん古いですね」、うん、この方が自然だと思います。
はい、どうですか、皆さん、いつもとても”とても””とても” と同じ副詞を使わないで、時々習った新しい副詞、ずいぶんを使ってみてください。はい、で、最後にですね、”ずいぶん” はどちらかというとちょっとフォーマルですね。
え、若い人たち同士ではあまり使わないと思います。使ってもおかしくはないんですけど、あまり使わないと思います。 
で、何を使うかというと、この前私のpotcastでも紹介したんですけども、”すごい”を使うと思います。 
「この店すごい古いねえ」、「この部屋すごい涼しいね」
こちらの方がよく使われると思います。はい。じゃ今日も聞いていただいてありがとうございました。
