EP1-1 Saying Your Destination in a Taxi | 오(o) vs 어(eo) Pronunciation
Description
Yuka arrives in Korea and takes a taxi on her very first day, but a small misunderstanding happens when she tries to say her destination.
Yuka is a Japanese exchange student who has just arrived in Korea to begin her new life abroad. Everything is new and exciting, but even simple moments—like taking a taxi—can become unexpected learning experiences.
In this scene, you’ll practice how to say your destination naturally in Korean and learn the pronunciation difference between “o (ㅗ)” and “eo (ㅓ)”, sounds that many Korean learners often find confusing.
You’ll also learn useful Korean expressions that you can use in real-life situations, especially when traveling or moving around Korea.
As Yuka begins her journey, many new experiences and small adventures await her in Korea, and each episode will help you learn Korean through real daily life situations.
※ Note: Up to Episode 3, Yuka’s slightly awkward pronunciation is intentional to realistically portray a beginner learner’s Korean and show her gradual improvement over time.
Listen and repeat to build natural Korean speaking skills with us!
