Description
a. Beat around the bush - To avoid addressing an issue directly.
Example: "Stop beating around the bush and tell me what you really think."
b. By the book - Following the rules and procedures precisely.
Example: "The project must be done by the book to meet all the regulations."
c. Lost in translation - Misunderstood or not effectively conveyed when translated from one language to another.
Example: "The humor in the movie was lost in translation when it was dubbed into another language."
d. Keep someone posted - To provide updated information to someone.
Example: "Please keep me posted on any updates regarding the project."
e. Break the ice - To initiate or start a conversation or social interaction.
Example: "He told a joke to break the ice at the party."
