Common Greek expressions and phrases that do not literally translate that well into English but are extremely common in Greece, especially in Millennial/ Gen Z audiences. Slang phrases are always informal and even though they are not negative in meaning you should never use them when speaking to an elder, a person like your boss, doctor, professor etc and in general with people you do not know.

こんにちは。今日は7月8日月曜日です。「5分でわかる日本語」ポッドキャストへようこそ。私は日本語の先生、みわです。今日は、日本の元号（げんごう）についてお話しします。

みなさん、日本の元号を知っていますか？元号は、日本の年の名前です。今年は令和6年です。これは西暦（せいれき）でいうと2024年です。今日は、いくつかの元号を紹介して、その意味と使い方について説明します。

天皇が新しくなると、元号も変わります。天皇は、日本の王様のような存在です。では、最近の元号を見てみましょう。

	1.	大正（たいしょう）
	•	大正は1912年から1926年までの期間です。この時代は、社会が少しずつ変わりました。
	2.	昭和（しょうわ）
	•	昭和は1926年から1989年までの期間です。この時代は、日本が戦争を経験し、その後にとても成長しました。
	3.	平成（へいせい）
	•	平成は1989年から2019年までの期間です。この時代は、経済の変化が大きかったです。
	4.	令和（れいわ）
	•	令和は2019年から現在までの期間です。令和という元号は、「美しい平和」という意味があります。現在、令和6年です。

元号の使い方を学んだので、次に元号が日常生活でどのように使われているか見てみましょう。例えば、カレンダーや学校の書類などに元号が使われます。

また、元号は歴史の学習にも役立ちます。元号を知ることで、日本の歴史を理解しやすくなります。例えば、「昭和の時代に何が起こったのか？」と聞かれたら、昭和は1926年から1989年までの期間なので、その間の出来事を思い出すことができます。

では、ここで元号を使った例文をいくつか紹介します。
	•	「大正時代には、たくさんの文化が発展しました。」
	•	「昭和の初めは、戦争がありました。」
	•	「平成の時代には、大きな地震がありました。」
	•	「令和の時代は、まだ始まったばかりです。」

ここで、みなさんに問題です。令和は何年から始まりましたか？
