Description
In an emergency your Malayalam will desert you, so these sentences are short, blunt and meant to be rehearsed until they are reflex. Fewer sentences than usual, learned completely. The six words that summon help, the 112 emergency number, and the core sentences for police, ambulance and injury. Then theft and loss, the emergency you are most likely to face: reporting it, filing a complaint and asking for a copy of the report. It closes with fire and gas leaks, and with water safety in rivers, quarries and the sea, where the rule is to ask a local every time. Words and phrases in this class: സഹായിക്കണേ! (sahaayikkane!) – help! കള്ളൻ! (kallan!) – thief! പോലീസിനെ വിളിക്ക് (poleesine vilikku) – call the police എനിക്ക് സഹായം വേണം (enikku sahaayam venam) – I need help ഒരാൾക്ക് പരിക്കുണ്ട് (oraalkku parikkundu) – somebody is hurt ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് അറിയുന്ന ആരെങ്കിലും ഉണ്ടോ?
