Today's one-minute challenge is to think of people or a person that you feel grateful for.

Who is this person?

How did you get acquainted with this person?

What did they help you with?

And what are the consequences of their help? How did your life change as a result?

Take some time. You can listen to the recording several times to answer the questions. Listen to it. Reading and listening are two modalities (languages of the mind, if you will). Use them both to stimulate your mind differently!

Ad ogni modo, un buon momento per voltarci a guardare alle spalle e osservare cosa abbiamo fatto durante quest'anno che volge ormai al termine; e una buona opportunità per prefissarci degli obiettivi per il prossimo anno che sta per iniziare. 「ヲタク」はもう、「スシ」「カワイイ」「カラオケ｝と同じくらい、有名な「日本語」になっていますね。この「ヲタク」文化の中に「鉄道ヲタク」というのがあるのを、ごぞんじですか。電車が大好きな人たちのことで、この中にもいろいろな種類があります。たとえば、写真を撮るのが好きな人は「撮（と）り鉄」。駅のホームの一番はしっこで、よく写真を撮ってるのを見かけます。（落ちたら、あぶない、あぶない！）他にも「乗り鉄」というのがあって、これは電車に乗るのが楽しくてたまらない人たちのことです。でもね、線路がいつまでもあると思ったら、大まちがい！先週、JRのフリーパスを使って旅行したらね、前より線路が短くなってたよ。そんな私の一日電車旅行の話です。あ、私は「乗り鉄」ではありませんよー。
