Podcast by American English tutor Carl. Improve your spoken English and book a lesson with me: https://teach.italki.com/teacher/1947582 Welcome back to another episode of Streetwise English podcast. I'm your host, Carl. Today I want to talk to you about note taking and note taking apps. So in the course of learning a language or living your life in general, you have to take notes. Notes, help you organize your thoughts and help you remember things and help you learn things. So note taking is very important. I like to use several apps to take notes. I've experimented with different apps over the years, but today I want to talk about my favorite apps for taking notes. I will list them in the order that I use them. So I use Google Keep most. Google Keep is part of the Google suite of apps, and the advantage of Google Keep is that I can take notes on my iPad and they will show up on my computer and also on my phone. And all of these apps that I'm going to talk about allow you to write with a digital pen, which is important for me. Why? Because I like to write down my notes with handwriting. And when you're learning things like Chinese, you need to write the characters by hand instead of typing them. And any language actually that you're learning, it helps to handwrite the vocabulary or words, because then you're more likely to remember them. I've read that somewhere. So Google Keep is a great option because it allows you to view your notes on multiple devices because it's saved online. And then also because you can add lines, paper and grids, and you can handwrite in Google Keep. And I use Google Keep every day. And you can also connect Google Keep to other things like Google Calendar and things like that. (Text Limit - for more transcripts visit SteetwiseEnglishdotcom)
