Hi there,
There is no difference. This is merely grammar. Some verbs are followed by the infinitive, for example promise-> you promised to help. Some verbs are followed by the inf form, for example imagine -> I often imagine travelling. And others can be followed by either like hate, enjoy, love, like and dislike.
