One famous Japanese film that visualizes this idea is Spirited Away by Studio Ghibli. In the film, many kinds of gods appear. Let’s take a look at some of them. For example, there is Ōtori-sama, a chick god said to be born from chicks that couldn’t hatch or grow. There’s also Oshira-sama, a radish god. Another important character is Haku, whose full name is Nigihayami Kohakunushi — the spirit of a river. There is also a character called Okusaresama. The scene in which Okusaresama appears symbolizes the Shinto idea that gods dwell in nature.
