Would it sound weird to use the word "constitution" to describe animals, robots or infrastructures?
What about the following sentence?
The constitution of the cosmos consists of mesmerizing myths that trace back to the very beginning of all existence.
Alluding to these legends, the term Achilles' heel has come to mean a point of weakness which can lead to downfall, especially in someone or something with an otherwise strong constitution. The Achilles tendon is named after him following the same legend.

You can use the word "constitution" to describe animals, robots and infrastructures. However it sounds kind of formal / poetic and dare I say like you are trying to show off your vocabulary (nothing wrong with that).
Synonyms like: structure, build, design, or makeup would feel more natural to me.
But it depends on what you are writing.
