I had never travelled alone until l had a visa to Australia. I had many feelings back then. l was afraid travelling alone on the plane for a long distance as l rarely travelled by airplane within my own country. I imagined of many worse things could have happened to me while travelling. I was afraid that l could not have communicated in English well enough for australians to understand me. However, l also had this though in my mind that once l stepped on the plane it would be my new life and new opportunity to be in new environment, use and improve my English as l wished. It’s been five years now here in Australia. I was glad that l made the decision to travel alone far away from my own comfort zone.
