Excellent statement and grammar. i would only add “you” to the first sentence as an indefinite pronoun. A “generic you,” meaning “one” or “people in general.”

situation I prefer debit cards to keep my finances under strict control.
This is great. I switched economic for financial as economic is generally used in the sense of the greater economy. For example, Ireland’s economy, or Ireland’s economic growth.
