It was rainy yesterday but it's sunny and warm today. It's lovely weather so I think people should go have a picnic instead of working.
Slightly more natural sounding version. Go picnic is technically still correct as picnic can be both a noun and a verb but many people may find it odd sounding and feel like there’s a word missing.
