Why is it correct to say "I win" when technically it should be "I won" or "I have won" ?

It's only correct to say 'I win' at the end of a game if you've won it in the last few seconds. You've just moved your final chess piece, hit a ball or whatever. The victory is already in the past, true, but only just!
After those few short moments, you would say 'I've won'.
