First, because since of the old technical director's resignation, Venezuela came back to be as it was before, a lame soccer team. And the last one is very inopportune, turns out that several of "the best" soccer players of our selection have COVID and they won't be able to play. It would be a miracle for us if Brazil don't score more than 3 goals today đ.

I can't correct your english, but thank you for the hint about the copa América. I'm following the "EURO 2020" in europe, but I didn't realize at all that the copa américa was taking place at the same time... maybe I can find a live stream and learn some spanish football vocabulary from the commentator... ;) And good luck to your team. It looks like brazil "only" won 3:0, so maybe that is a good sign ;)

Just a few points to add here :
The competition name is not translated and is still known in English as the Copa America.
You can refer to a team either as the Venezuelan team or just Venezuela
You can say either because OF the old technical director resignation /because he has resigned / since he has resigned
Venezuela WILL GO BACK to WHAT it was before

I tried to find a way to include that it would be a miracle "for us" but I think we just don't say it that way; it would be a miracle and that's it.
