However, I am upset to find out that from next month onward, my rent will increase from 2000 CNY per month to 3000 CNY per month. I understand that my contract ends next month, and as the landlord, you have the right to adjust the rent to the market’s demand. However, I notice that similar properties of the same size and with the same amenities cost 2000 CNY to rent in this area. Furthermore, because of the pandemic, I temporarily lost my job and consequently lost my income. Therefore, it would be very difficult for me to pay the difference in rent.
