'spun out' - What does this mean?
Context :
On hearing the news about her friend's engagement, she spun out.

I typically interpret "spun out" to mean to have gone out of control. It's typically used with cars - The car hit a patch of ice and spun out.

It probably means that she was very overwhelmed and confused, but it's not an expression that we use very much in the United States.

In a nutshell, it means got crazy ( surprised) about the news.
