1.홍보하다 Meaning: promote it widely. Example: Promote new products to consumers 2. 촉진하다 Meaning: to make things go faster. Example: Migration of various ethnic groups promotes cultural exchange. 3. 장려하다 Meaning: encourage good work. Example: Encourage savings 'Promote' has 3 meanings in English 1.홍보하다 let sb know widely 2.촉진하다 Makes sb/st move on quickly 3.진급하다 Ranks, grades, grades, etc. go up. 홍보하다 촉진하다 장려하다 Three words mean completely different meanings, but in English, promote means "홍고하다" and "촉진하다" in Korean.
