I agree with Daniela. I would also argue that the adverb 'practically' is not being used very well here, as it's not really referring to how he's speaking, but to the idea behind what he's saying.

I think „solution minded“ is what is implied here; he asks how to pay so he doesn’t know how. Maybe „pragmatically“ would be better suited?
