My part-time job the other day was really exhausting.
Customers kept flooding into the store one after another, and I barely had a moment to breathe. At first, I thought it was just a bit busier than usual, but before I knew it, we had tons of orders piling up. I even lost track of what I had already done.
It was the store’s special discount day, which only happens once a month, so that’s probably why it got so crowded. We even received a few complaints from customers, and it really took a toll on my mental state. Since forgetting to hand out items is absolutely unacceptable, I tried to stay focused the whole time. Thanks to that, I didn’t make a single packing mistake that day, which was a huge relief.
Even though it was tough, working hard together with my coworkers gave me a sense of accomplishment. After my shift, the manager gave me an ice cream. I was completely worn out, but that ice cream tasted so good that it almost made all the tiredness disappear.
If I ever end up in the same situation again, I want to make sure I stay calm and handle things without panicking.
