Fujiko Hemming who was a great pianist died the previous day.
Even if she had a disability of ears, she played the piano with passion and romance.
Whenever I hear her play, it usually makes me emotional.

Fujiko Hemming, a great pianist, died the *previous day.
Even if she had a [disability of ears] /hearing deficiency, she played the piano with *passion and romance.
Whenever I hear her play, it [*usually] makes me /I get emotional.
*this applies if you have already mentioned a date on which something else occurred, otherwise, you would say 'yesterday'
*better the other way round: 'romance and passion'
*if you write 'whenever' it means 'every time', 'always', so not 'usually'
She was indeed a great pianist whose performances will be missed.
