The sun is shining today, and I'm feeling a bit better. Mom and Dad are still feverish, though. We took a short walk outside hoping it would help, but the fever returned later in the day. Looks like we'll have to keep fighting this flu for a few more days. It’s aching all over as hell.

You can't say "aching all over as hell". It should be "adjective + as hell" e.g. "hot as hell".
