The student said that she knows when you rent in China, there’s always something
happening with the deposit (difficult to get the deposit back). At least she met
it in Shenzhen. So she just refuses to pay the rent for last month. I said, did
they agree? She said she just argued with them, “I heard there’s deposit problem
in your country.” And she said she’s wondering is it just happens to foreigners,
or also happens to Chinese. I said of course to everybody. Capital is king. When
they ask you to pay, you are the customer. When you ask your money back, they
are the kings.
