This exactly what I do with a Chinese lady in your long weekly sessions. We talk about all the issues in her life is and I create a bespoke curriculum using multisensory interactions or stimulation; through which we study her linguistic limitations, as we proceed. She is s a businesswoman and mother. Another guy I see twice a week is a university administrator in Azerbaijan. We talk about History, Geography, politics, life particularly through historical and modern maps, and images. His English requirements are met through a similar curriculum again devised by me, but with closer attention to exercises and formal assesments along the way.
