Do these two sentences mean the same thing? I can't wait for the weekend. I can't wait till the weekend.

They CAN mean the same things: 1. I am very excited about the weekend OR 2. I actually cannot wait to do X, I must do X before the weekend. Meaning #2 is more likely to be the option with "till."
