Wow, how I miss the old Italki; the lively threads, those whose opinion was a reference... I wonder where on hell all that is gone. Please, I would be glad if somebody give me a clue about where to find something alike, because the time goes by and I have to admit that I didn't find anything similar. By no means.

The old setup is indeed gone, Alberto. Finding another place like that isn't very likely unless you are into the labyrinth of social media. The new acquisition of iTalki (Iingbе) does have so called tasks (posts) but the comments are quite trivial and puerile. This place once had a sensible adult user community, the likes of which I had seen years ago in Quоrа. Still, that's not a language platform and I'm told even that has degraded significantly since I was there some eight years ago.

I hear you 🥲
Now we can use the new community through the desktop version, but it’s still the “new community” and 90% of my friends are no where to be seen. I even miss the users who used to bore me to death 😂
Finally I realized that italki to me was always about its people! This is what made me get attached to the place since 2014.
I wish I could find a similar place to the old italki! It wasn’t broken yet they insisted on “fixing” it 🙄

Back when the change happened, I created this discussion board:
https://lifeandlanguage.boards.net/
We are a small group, still trying to grow, but there is daily conversation similar to the style of what we enjoyed here. Just a different format, unfortunately. After a while, it's something to get used to. I believe I sent some of you all invites at one time. You are all still welcome to return!
I hope to see you there. :)
