Christmas decorations I have been thinking about if people really use the word tchotchke because I had not heard it before. I read an article about holiday decorations, and they used that word tchotchke. I do not usually decorate my place for Christmas but this article which is a podcast as well it made think over about hanging up some ornaments. Why do I do not enjoy that much decorating my apartment? It is completely easy to answer the question because what goes up must go down and I am a lazy person and my level of commitment is low. Next year I will give myself permission to do something different, I will have wreaths, ornaments, pinecones and even a Christmas tree.

Great text Zemei! A quick answer is no, I hadn't seen this word before reading your text! We use words like trinkets and knick-knacks to give the same idea, which generally means objects that don't really have a purpose.
