Isn’t it a pleasure when friends come from afar?

This well-known saying comes from The Analects of Confucius, one of the greatest ancient Chinese classics.
It tells us a simple but warm truth in Chinese culture: meeting friends who travel far to visit you is the happiest thing.
For thousands of years, Chinese people have been friendly, hospitable and warm-hearted to guests and friends from every corner of the world.
