Hello! Today, I'm going bowling with my friends. I have a little experience bowling, but I don't have big scores, so I want to get a/the high score today!
BOWLING is weird in English. Even though it's a game, we don't say PLAYING BOWLING. We just say BOWLING or GOING BOWLING. I can't think of a reason for this--it's just how it is. Also, we usually use present continuous (going bowling) for the near future.
