It was sunny today. I got up early to watch my favorite anime for hours. It was a very touching series, setting a poignant mood for my day with its sense of melancholic beauty. Later, Mom decided to shear my cat’s fur! He has been shedding a lot lately. It turned out to be a funny experience. Since we didn’t have (the/any) equipment to restrain him, our only option was to work together with our hands. MeeMaw used treats to distract him while I held him down, as Mom carefully trimmed fur from his back. It worked well at first, but before long, he realized what was going on. He started trying to flee, leaping up and down around the living room. The task quickly became a struggle, leaving scratches all over Mom’s arms. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend.
