Hi there! I would like to ask a question about the preposition going with ‘leave off’. For example, last time, we finished our lesson when we have talked about A theory. Can I say,” Last time, we left off ON (or with?) A theory”? Thank you!

Hi Jessica, Native English speakers could use either. There is a subtle difference between the two but it makes no difference to the meaning. Hope that helps.
