“Cut” is the same for both present and past tense. “She cuts the cheese” - present. “She cut the cheese” - past.
“Run” becomes “ran” in past tense. “I ran so far away” - past tense.
“Eat” becomes “ate” in simple past tense, as in “I ate dinner.” “Eaten” is the past participle, as in “I have eaten dinner.”

the past tense of cut is still cut not cutted or cutter other words that do not change in the past tense are.

Hurt Hurt
You will often hear non natives say Hurted but this is incorrect.
