Both means to think. But yiwei is used when someone has a wrong assumption about something. Renwei is used when someone is offering his or her own opinion.

认为:renwei,对人或事物确定某种看法,做出某种判断:我~他可以担任这项工作。
以为yiwei:通常在口语之中,“以为”作主观动词使用,意为按照自己的想法事物会如何发展,但最后并没有如此。
