Is this correct?
That is mostly because you do not adapt yourself to the language, you rather adapt the language to yourself.
It’s the “adapt sth to sth” that interests me

"Adapt sth to sth" is correct. E.g.
- "Many software companies have adapted popular programs to the new operating system"
- "After several years of tests, they are now modifying and adapting the system to their individual enterprises"
- "Species have adapted to climate changes throughout history"

The grammar is correct.
Without more context, I cannot tell you if this expresses what you want to say, but the grammar is right.
Some examples:
"I need to adapt myself to my new working environment."
or
"The octopus will adapt itself to whatever objects and colors surround it."
Good luck!
Удачи!
