Games are different and they may teach both good and bad. It depends on your intention and self-control. There are a lot of sport, board or computer games which are good for self-development and improving your skills. In 1990-th I used to play computer games quite alot. The main thing I finally understood was that it was a wasting of life. It destroys personality as well as everything we do in big quantity losing self-control. I could get a lot of useful things in hours I spent playing computer games. I wish I could turn the time back.

In the 1990's .... The main thing was that they are a waste of time/ they waste your life.... Maybe so, but they also develop analytical skills, thinking and strategy skills.
