Hi, guys! What do you usually eat for breakfast? In general, I eat rice. (Surprise, surprise. 😂 ) I don't mind eating cereal or bread, but I guess my Koreanness runs in my blood. (I can't handle fast foods like burgers, pizza and chicken for breakfast even though they are my all-time favorites. 😂)
다들 아침은 어떻게 해결해? 나는 아침은 웬만하면 밥을 먹어...시리얼이나 빵도 괜찮긴 한데 한국인의 피는 못 속이는 것 같아 ㅋㅋ 햄버거, 피자, 치킨이 내가 가장 좋아하는 패스트푸드이지만 아침으로는 못 먹겠더라고.
Anyway, I went for rice this morning as usual. But then, I didn't have much to eat, so I had to whip it up with what I had in my refrigerator. And this is what I did! It was really simple: All I did was make a sunny-side-up egg and put it on top of the rice mixed with the soy sauce my mom made. Afterward, I added sesame seeds on top of it to add a nutty flavor. That was it! Ah, by the way, the soup you see in the picture is called kongnamul guk (bean sprout soup), which is made with peppers and...bean sprouts.😅 Yeah, I think these meals really filled me up this morning.
어쨌든 오늘도 브런치로 밥을 먹었는데 마땅한 반찬이 없어서 그냥 이것저것 넣어서 먹었어. 만드는 법은 굉장히 간단해! 일단 반숙 계란후라이를 하나 만들고 우리 엄마가 만든 간장소스에 비빈 밥 위에 얹으면 끝! 그 위에 참깨도 얹었지. 국물은 그냥 콩나물, 고춧가루 등이 들어간 이른바 콩나물국이야. 이걸로 오늘 아침은 든든하게 해결한 것 같아.
So, how do they look? They don't look bad, right? You should try them when you have a craving for a rice dish but don't have any decent ingredients to go with it!
