Immediately I think of the famous line from the movie Gone with the Wind, "Frankly, Scarlett, I don't give a ____." (You can look that up to see what the last word is!). This is technically a misquote, since it's not what he says in the movie (he says "my dear" instead of Scarlett) but this line is often quoted this way. The movie was extremely popular and is a classic, so the name has a "movie star" sort of vibe, to me (One thinks also of Scarlett Johansson). It also makes me think of the colour scarlet. It's a beautiful name, I agree with Nichole.

"Scarlet" (with one T) is the name for a bright shade of red, so I tend to think of that first. The next thing I think of is the character "Scarlett O'Hara," from the book and movie, "Gone with the Wind." Probably younger people would think of the actress Scarlett Johansson. Scarlet is an intense, bright color, and both Scarlett O'Hara and Scarlett Johansson are, I think, associated with the idea of strong, bold personalities. I believe it is becoming a popular name, possibly because of Scarlett Johansson. (Checking) It is now the twentieth most common name given to girls in the United States. That is definitely a new trend. It used to be quite rare.

I immediately think of the “Scarlet Letter”, only because I had to read that book multiple times in school 🤦🏻‍♀️ It’s a beautiful name though. I’ve never met someone named Scarlet.
