Hi, I need to send an email to my boss about my expired ID . Does this sound OK?
I'm writing to inform that my ID expired and I have attached a photo of the updated one.
I presume it is important for job purposes.
Best regards

You need ‘you’ after ‘inform’. For example:
I’m writing to inform you that my ID expired. Attached is a photo of the updated one.
I’m writing to inform you that my old ID has expired. I’ve attached a photo of the new one.
The last sentence sounds a bit awkward and is a little unclear to me, but it might make sense with context that you and your boss have. It sounds like you think it might be important that he have your updated ID on file, but you’re not sure.
