1. I had a bad argument with my friend and now we don’t speak/talk (I would use talk rather than speak because if you speak to someone it usually refers to a one time conversation. If you are referring to the context of someone you regularly speak to, you talk) 2. Rick is looking for an apartment. He is renting a place with his friends until he finds something.
