Could you please proof read my written work? I simmered Japanese white radish and konjac for dinner. I cooked it exactly according to the recipe, however the dish was tasteless. It didn't go well even though I followed the recipe to the letter. It's difficult for me to cook.

Well do not give up. Then you might need to add something for spices? To fit your taste pallet. Me i never cook with alcohol and season it according to my taste or to the people i cook for.
